F-18 Toggle Cover Set
These are 3D printed and my own design
These should fit toggle switches found on the following controls:
Virpil
WinWing
Saitek
any ~6mm diameter(thickest diameter) toggle with a stem height of ~19mm. This is the most common size toggle switch and should fit a wide range of controls.
This is a set of 11 toggle covers total, made to resemble special ones found in the F18 cockpit. These are not "full-size exact replicas" but are made to resemble their real-world counterpart.
These do not require the use of any tools or any glues.
They slip on and off of any standard-sized toggle. The cover size is large enough to allow easy use of the toggle but small enough to not interfere with anything else on your panels. These do not change the feeling of your toggles. You will still get that satisfying and tactile click from your toggles using these. I uploaded a video to show off clearance and the motion of the toggle is not obstructed in any way.
Each toggle is printed using a "rubber-like" material to allow it to slip onto and off of the toggle. The design is meant to grip the toggle so a firm pressure may need to be applied to get the toggle cover on. When pulling the cover off you get a satisfying POP! These were designed to minimize flex while using the toggle so as to not affect the "feel" of the toggle aside from the shape.
Easy to reconfigure for a different aircraft, button mapping, or sim due to no glues or tools being needed. Just pop off and push back on.
Set includes:
- 1 Landing/Taxi Light
- 1 Launch Bar
- 1 Flaps handle
- 1 Gear handle
- 1 Hook handle
- 2 flat top round
- 2 pointed top
- 2 rounded top
**Notes**:
-One color per set.
-I do not recommend the use of any adhesives.
When you first slide these on they may give the impression of being loose or easy to spin. Please give them a few hours on the toggle and they should "tighten" up again. Do know you will, if you try, always be able to spin these covers on the toggle. In my testing and after having a set just sit on my toggles for a week or so I noticed they do "relax" from being stretched over the toggle. They relaxed so much in fact, I used plyers to pull them off the toggle. The suction, combined with the rubbers' inherent anti-slide properties, can require some force to pull back off after an extended time on the toggles. Twist and pull. If you feel the suction is just too much use a razer knife carefully to cut the "stem" of the toggle cover. Send me a photo and your order number and ill send another at my expense.
It was brought to my attention that some WinWing and Warthog products have toggles that spin freely themselves. Please keep that in mind when using these toggles.
